YSRCP leader arrested, driver thrash Dalit petrol pump employee- Video viral

Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSRCP leader and his driver were arrested by the police on charges of assault on a Dalit employee at a petrol bunk in Vulavapalla village of Dagadarthi mandal, Nellore district. The incident took place around 9pm on 31st December.

An employee of petrol bunk, who belonged to the backward community, was brutally beaten up by YSCRP leader Mahesh Naidu and his driver for denying fuel on credit. The video of this incident was captured on a CCTV installed at the petrol bunk showed two men getting out of a car near one of gas pumps
The police revealed that MPTC – Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency member Mahesh Naidu and his driver Madaka Masthan were produced before the magistrate and sent to judicial remand. The CCTV footage showed the man rushing to his vehicle and grabbing a big weapon from mid seat. As he charged towards the worker on ground with it, he was pacified by one of his accomplices.
The CCTV footage also showed Victim was repeatedly punched, kicked and had his head thrashed against the gas pump.
The video which is going viral also showed that YSRCP leader rushed the petrol bunk in his car and slapped the boy and abused him by his caste name. His driver also beat up the boy with a stick.
Two guys, Darsa Kumar and Bhim Kumar, arrived at petrol bunk and asked the pump boy named G Teja to fill up some diesel in the can. They asked the boy for PhonePe number to pay the amount, the boy said petrol bunk has no PhonePe number, and asked them to instead scan QR code and pay the amount.
