A complaint of caste discrimination was registered against the father and son of the ward president

Kathmandu — Ishwarpur municipality of Sarlahi ward no. A complaint of caste discrimination has been registered against Ward Chairman Shyam Thapa of 8 and his son Himal Thapa.
A complaint was registered at the local police office Kesharganj on Tuesday, a month after the incident took place against Janak Bahadur Wik’s family of the same ward for caste discrimination.
Himal, the son of Ward Chairman Thapa, went to his house and slapped 65-year-old Janak Bahadur Wik on the evening of June 17, saying ‘you should fix Doom’.
After the incident, Thapa, the ward president, has been continuously discriminating caste against the Vick family, threatening them and obstructing their work.
A month after the incident, the Vick family wanted to file a complaint against the ward chairman, but the police refused. The police, who did not accept the complaint till midnight on Monday, registered the complaint on Tuesday.
