Accused of kidnapping a Dalit youth and beating him severely in a closed room in Unnao, UP, case registered against 15

February 15, 2024 Author Dalit Times

The matter is of Unnao in Uttar Pradesh. Actually, the Dalit youth had gone to a shop on Sarvodaya Nagar Rajdhani Road of Gangaghat Kotwali of Unnao for some work. During that time, more than a dozen goons surrounded him and created a ruckus. Apart from this, the goons kidnapped the Dalit youth, locked him in a room and beat him severely. In this case, the police have registered a case against fifteen people including five goons. Know the whole matter.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, the name of the victim is Sumit Gautam. He had gone to a mobile shop in Sarvodaya Nagar Rajdhani of Gangaghat Kotwali. And when he was returning from the shop, Mishra alias Kallu Batista, Ashandar Awasthi, Aryan, Manish Shukla, Chunmun and ten unknown goons, residents of Mishra Colony, beat up the Dalit youth and even used caste based abuses. The victim kept pleading for help but the goons did not listen to the victim and beat the Dalit youth fiercely. After this, the accused picked up the Dalit youth and took him to Mishra Colony and also beat him up in a closed room.

Nothing like firing:

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police registered a case against the accused and the injured Sumit Gautam (victim) has been sent for medical treatment. According to the information, people from the other party have also said that there was firing in this incident. Whose information is also being circulated on social media. But when the police investigated it, they found out that there was no firing in this incident. Even before this, there was fighting and firing in an incident and kiosks were also recovered but this too was denied by the police.

Police negligence:

According to “Dainik Bhaskar Report”, there have been incidents of fighting and firing for the last four-five days, but Gangaghat police is ignoring these incidents and denying them. While the local people are confirming that there was firing. Cartridge shells were also recovered in Brahma Nagar. But this too was dealt with lightly by the police. Due to which an incident of gang war may occur between two groups.
