UP: Dalit employee beaten up after catching electricity theft at BJP leader’s house!

Pilibhit. The electricity department team had gone out for checking in Pilibhit district of UP. During this time, electricity theft was caught at the house of a BJP leader. The employees allege that the BJP leader and her associates took the employees hostage after taking legal action against electricity theft. During this, a Scheduled Caste employee was taken hostage, beaten and used caste based abuses. The police did not take any action in this matter earlier.

The police swung into action when the employees protested and threatened to boycott work. Police have registered a case against 19 people including BJP city president and vice president on the complaint of the JE of the electricity department. On the complaint of the city vice president, the police has already filed a report against the Power Corporation team. The police is investigating the matter

Actually, the whole matter is of Puranpur area of ​​Pilibhit. JE Jaipal told The Mooknayak – ‘Last Monday at 12 o’clock in the day, on the information of electricity theft, Sub Divisional Officer Shashank Kandpal along with JE Danish Khan, Akhilesh Yadav, Harishankar, Mahendra Kumar, Pyarelal and a BJP woman in a colony on Sirsa Road. Had reached the leader’s house. During this time, we had talked about opening the gate of the house and checking.”

According to the information, during this time there was a fight between JE Jaipal Singh and BJP leader. The case has been reported to police Police reached the spot and pacified the matter. The police sent both the parties to the nearby CHC for medical treatment. JE alleges that during this time, on the call of BJP leader, some Hindu leaders reached CHC and beat up JE.

The home guard was also abused for trying to save him. The JE, who was being brought to the police station after medical examination, was again beaten up by Hindu leaders at the police station gate. Some people barely saved the JE who was being beaten at the Kotwali gate and sent him to the power station in the vehicle of the Municipal Chairman.

JE was beaten due to police negligence

JE told The Mooknayak – “The police had sent all of us along with a home guard for medical examination. During this, the BJP leader’s associates came to the CHC. They beat me up. I informed the police about the matter. My The police arrived on information and later came back. During this, they once again stopped me at the Kotwali gate and insulted me with caste-related words. Had the police taken the matter seriously, I would not have been beaten again.

BJP leader filed a case of molestation

In this case, a report was lodged in the police station on behalf of the BJP leader against nine people including JE Jaipal, Danish and Shashank under sections like assault, molestation etc. After this action, the employees of Power Corporation also demonstrated on Tuesday expressing their displeasure over the lack of action. Police also took action on the complaint received from JE Jaipal.

Police took action after warning of boycott of work

In the dispute between JE and BJP leader, a complaint was given by both the parties on the same day. A report was registered on the complaint of the BJP leader, but the complaint of the JE was postponed in the investigation. There were allegations of not taking action regarding this due to pressure from the government. Anger spread among the officers and employees of the Power Corporation who were angry over the lack of action in the incident.

State Electricity Council Junior Engineer Organization District President Umesh Kumar and other officials of the organization and all the SDOs and JEs from across the district had reached Puranpur. Displeasure was expressed over his not registering an FIR. The officials held a meeting at the division office and warned of boycotting work. Complained to CO Alok Singh, accusing the police of negligence. After this, action has been taken on Wednesday.

Case filed under SC-ST Act on JE’s complaint

On the basis of JE’s complaint, a report was registered against BJP leader, city president Harsh Pradhan, Sanjay Mishra, Roop Singh and 15 unknown people. JE alleges that when the police took everyone to the hospital after the incident. During this time, even during medical treatment in the hospital, Sanjay Mishra and five unknown people along with him used caste related words, abused him, beat him up and even threatened to kill him. Apart from this, while returning from the police station, 15 people including Harsh Pradhan, Sanjay Mishra and Roop Singh, who were already present at the gate, rallied together and beat him up again. Somehow he saved his life and reached the CO office.

In this case, Kotwal Puranpur Sanjeev Kumar Shukla told The Mooknayak – “There was no pressure of any kind. The report of one party had already been registered. There has been a delay due to changes in the complaint given by the JE. “Action will be taken on the basis of evidence in the investigation.”
