UP: Dalit girl discriminated against in hostel, upset, she jumped from the roof!
A Dalit girl who was a victim of caste discrimination in Jhansi jumped from the roof of the hostel. She is in critical condition! Accusation- Teacher humiliated and harassed her, forced her by threatening her.

Lucknow. A Dalit girl working in a training centre run under the Kaushal Vikas Yojana in BHEL campus in Jhansi district headquarters of Uttar Pradesh has alleged that she was being harassed in the hostel due to caste discrimination. Due to which she tried to commit suicide by jumping from the roof of the hostel.
The student (19) is a resident of a village in Sakrar police station area. She is studying in BA first year. The student said that a camp for Kaushal Vikas Yojana was organized in the village. She had also applied for employment. After being selected, she was kept in the training center’s hostel near the saw machine for training.
Other girls were told to stay away from her. The student alleges that while she was in the hostel, the female teacher used to humiliate her because she belonged to the Scheduled Caste. She also used to tell other girls to stay away from her. A young man posted in the hostel also used to support them and behave indecently. Out of fear and so that her studies do not get ruined, the student tolerated everything for a few days.

According to the news published in the magazine, on the evening of May 11, when the student was in the hostel, the teacher, staff and another student started threatening her. They started instigating her to commit suicide. They threatened to kill her and make her disappear if she did not commit suicide.
The student says that after being harassed so much, she broke down and tried to commit suicide by jumping from the roof of the hostel. She fainted as soon as she fell. Another student was making a video. When she regained consciousness, she was threatened that if she told anyone, she would be killed.
The family members complained to the DM
After coming home, she mustered up the courage to tell the whole incident to her family. The family admitted her to the hospital. The student is undergoing treatment due to her critical condition. The victim’s family has given a complaint letter to the DM on Thursday and demanded action.
Investigation into the matter continues
In this case, CO Sadar Sneha Tiwari says that the student and her family neither contacted the police station nor lodged a complaint. Still, an investigation is being conducted on the basis of the viral video. Further action will be taken on the basis of whatever truth comes out in the investigation.
