Mentally disabled raped in temple

A Dalit woman with a mental disability was allegedly raped in a temple of Jind district on Wednesday, the police have said. The accused, identified as Sunil, was arrested on Thursday. He and the 35-year-old victim belong to the same village. On the complaint of the victim’s father, Sunil was booked under Section 376 of the IPC and the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. — TNS
