Mainpuri. In Mainpuri, UP, a case has come to light of the principal of a government school refusing admission to a Dalit girl child in the school. It is alleged that, the principal also said casteist words to the Dalit girl and her mother, and also threatened the mother, who had come for admission with the girl, not to appear in the office again. A video of this incident is also becoming very viral on social media. However, the BSA has ordered an inquiry into the entire matter.
What is the whole matter?
In a primary school located in Bhogaon town of Mainpuri district, a Dalit mother along with her daughter had come to get her admission. During this, Meena Verma, the principal of the primary school, called the Dalit woman who came for admission, saying caste words in front of her daughter. The principal also forbade him to enter the office again. Along with this, refusing to take admission, he was banished from the school. The Dalit woman has filed a complaint against the principal by calling 1090 in the whole matter.
Wandering for admission, not getting admission
The family members of the girl say that, for many days, she was continuously making rounds of schools for admission. He alleged that the principal threw him out of the school by saying casteist words.
After the video of this incident went viral, when basic education officer Deepka Gupta was informed about this whole matter, he said, “This matter has just come to the notice. We have ordered the Block Education Officer to investigate it. We will take action based on the investigation. If they are found guilty in the investigation, strict action will be taken against them. She cannot refuse admission to the child.”
The Basic Education Officer also said, “Behaving in this manner will not be tolerated at all. If a parent comes to get his child admitted, you have no right to refuse him.
