ICC Supports Family of Imprisoned Christian in India
07/20/2020 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Joseph was imprisoned after he was wrongfully accused of killing his Hindu neighbors by setting their home on fire. Although the cause of the fire is unclear, local Hindu extremists falsely pinned the incident on Joseph. Leading up to this event, Joseph and his family faced harassment from local Hindu radicals, who protested the Sunday worship that took place in their home.
While Joseph, the family’s breadwinner, remains behind bars, ICC stepped in to provide food assistance and other basic necessities for his family. This included pantry staples such as rice, lentils, and cooking oil, as well as various toiletries.
Joseph’s wife expressed, “I want to thank ICC for providing the means for living. I can’t think [of] any other better gift for a family like us. God has been faithful and the Christians all over are praying for us… This help will enable me to take care of my family, while making visits to police courts and lawyers.”
