A Dalit family has been forced to leave the village after being hurt by caste Panches in the bordering Barmer district of Rajasthan. The family alleges that the caste Panches have ostracized them from the society and imposed a fine of 15 lakhs on them. Not only this, no one in the village talks to them or gives them any goods under the pressure of the Panches, after which they were forced to leave the village and now the whole family is eating stumbling blocks. The case is of Gowda village of Sedwa police station in Barmer district.

It was told that the son of the victim Prataparam Bhil, a resident of Gowda village, had gone with a girl and wanted to marry her. The caste panch was angry about this matter. In the complaint given to the police, the victim told that seeing the displeasure of the Panchs, he sent the girl back and now the girl has also got married at another place, but still the Panch is taking revenge from her.
Panches ostracized from society
Victim Prataparam told that even after sending the girl back to her house, the Panches of the society started hating her and called the Panchayat and ostracized her family from the society and imposed a fine of Rs 15 lakh on her.

The victim told that after being ostracized from the society, it became difficult for her to live in the village. Prataparam told that the Panches have also banned the movement of his family in the village. The Panchs have given a decree that he cannot stay in the village till the fine is not paid.
He told that no one in the village even talks to him under the pressure of the Panchs, even for hospital and other works, there is a ban on his movement. After which his family was forced to leave the village. Prataparam told that his family has become homeless due to the pressure of the Panchs and now leaving Gowda village and living in Balai village.
even the police don’t listen
The victim alleged that upset by the atrocities of the caste Panches, she gave a report to the Sedwa police station, but the police neither registered the case nor took any action against the accused. After which the victim submitted a memorandum to the higher authorities on Thursday and demanded action. Additional Superintendent of Police, Women’s Cell, Hazariram told that on the basis of the memorandum of the victim, Sedwa is investigating the matter with the police.
