Hyderabad: Minor girl abducted by two men, sedated and gang-raped

HYDERABAD: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped, sedated and gang-raped by two men, one of whom is her acquaintance, at a hotel in Nampally. The two culprits were arrested by the Dabeerpura police on Thursday.
On Tuesday night, the survivor, a school dropout, went missing near her home at Chanchalguda and her family members lodged a police complaint. “Since the girl is a minor, we registered a kidnap case and started investigation,” Dabeerpura police said. On Wednesday night, the girl returned home.

When she was quizzed, the girl claimed that unknown persons kidnapped her and took her to a hotel, operated by an aggregator. She claimed that she was given an injection and gang-raped at the hotel.
Earlier in the day, her mother, while speaking to the media, claimed: “My daughter said that the accused forcibly gave her an unknown injection, tablets and liquor. I cannot tell the horrible things which happened later. We want justice and the offenders should be punished.”
Narrating the sequence of events on Tuesday, the woman said that her daughter sought 20 from her, and said that she would go to a nearby shop to buy a soap. “Though I suggested that her brother can get it, my daughter insisted that she will go out since she was at home all through the day. After my daughter left, I asked my son to follow her. He returned after some time and reported that she was waiting near a car. Subsequently, she went missing,” she added.
After initial investigation, police said that they have information that one of the two accused was known to the survivor.
