Ambedkarnagar: Dead body hung from tree after killing Bhim Army worker, both hands and feet were tied with rope
Ambedkar Nagar, Jagran Correspondent. The body was hanged from a tree after killing a Bhim Army worker. The police were stopped by the villagers from taking out the dead body. The dead body could be brought down from the tree on the assurance of the arrest of the accused involved in the murder by the DM and SP. The DM has ordered a post-mortem report by a three-member medical team.
The body of Arun Kumar of Nasirpur Majre of Jamlapatti village of Alapur police station was found hanging from a tree in the garden, about 500 meters away from his house, on Tuesday morning. While both his hands were folded backwards, his feet were tied to the ground and bent at the knees. A huge crowd of relatives and villagers gathered on the spot. The police had to face opposition from the villagers.
In the background of the incident, the angry villagers stopped the dead body from being removed from the tree without any competent authority, holding it responsible for the negligence of the police. Seeing the anger of the villagers, the police of Jahangirganj, Rajesultanpur, Hanswar, Baskhari police stations were also called. DM Samuel Pal N and SP Ajit Kumar Sinha reached the spot and held talks with relatives, Bhim Army leaders. The relative accused Arun of killing Arun in a land dispute and hanging the body from a tree.
Questioning the role of the village head, he accused him of calling him at four in the morning. Taking unilateral action in the dispute between the two sides a week ago, the police also accused of registering a case of molestation against the son of the deceased. The SP assured of investigation and arrest of all the accused involved. Bhim Army leaders also explained to their relatives.
Allegations of unilateral action against the police:
The deceased was having a land dispute with the neighbor for a long time. Due to this many times people from both the sides came face to face and there was also a fight. Instead of reaching the police station or taking action in advance, shaving was done. A week ago too there was a fight between the two sides. Both the sides were thrown from the police station. Showing the SP the injury mark on the back during the assault, Suraj, the son of the deceased, alleged that then taking unilateral action, the police filed a case of molestation against him on behalf of the opposition. The police continued to pressurize.
At the same time, District Magistrate Samuel Paul N said that I reached with the SP on the information about the body hanging from the tree in Nasirpur village. Villagers and relatives have been pacified after being explained and extinguished. On the basis of the post-mortem report, the accused will be given the harshest punishment.
