Nisikhola Dalit Network has submitted a memorandum to the local police office Burtibang.
Deep Tomta (Dilip), a resident of Nisikhola Rural Municipality Ward No. 1, has been missing since the 16th of last Bhadra but has not been found even after 19 days, so the Nisikhola Dalit network has drawn attention to the fact that a memorandum was submitted to the police office on Monday.
Tomta left home at 8 pm on the 16th of Bhadra and went to the house of his neighbor friends Jeevan B.K. and Narayan B.K. He said he was going to meet his girlfriend of Nisikhola Rural Municipality 1 and since then he has been missing.
“When the family and relatives searched locally, after Tomta was not found, the family members immediately submitted a written request to the administration to search the police and the administration. It was revealed in the investigation that Tomta was separated from her friends during the night and the girl friend called her and left there at 11:00 p.m., and when the family members checked Tomta’s Facebook ID, it was also revealed from the evidence that the girl had called and visited her on the phone and messenger, as well as from the call details of the mobile phone. Even that has been confirmed. A love relationship has come to light between the young woman of Kunwar Thar, who meditates with Nij Tomata,” the memorandum says.
The police have also demanded a thorough investigation into the matter saying that Tomta belongs to the Dalit community and the incident may have occurred because of his love affair with a girl from the non-Dalit community. When the police interrogated the young woman who was said to be Tomta’s lover, the day after the incident, the young woman detailed the phone messenger conversations she had with Tomta and said that she also broke her mobile phone. The memorandum has also mentioned the question why the police could not investigate it.
Speaking after the handover, Rim Bahadur B., president of Nisikhola Dalit Network, said that if the police administration ignores the incident, they will continue the protest program.
While reading the memorandum, Police Deputy Inspector Ishwar Dulal of the area police office Burtibang said that the investigation into the incident is going on and this memorandum will be sent to the district. Apart from this, Nisikhola Dalit Network will also submit a memorandum to District Administration Office Baglung, Nisikhola Rural Municipality office through the locality administration office, the president of the network Reem Bahadur B. informed.
