UP News: The principal of a primary school in Dilbar area of Kanpur Dehat has been accused of issuing a decree for Dalit students that they should be given Mid-Day Meal. The utensils for Day-Meal have to be brought from their home, that is, they cannot eat food in the school plate. This thing gradually spread, after which the district administration sent a large number of police forces and a team of officers to the school so that the truth behind the matter could be known.
On being surrounded, the principal accused the teachers on the contrary
The teachers told that principal Arun Kumar Shukla often comes to the school in a state of intoxication. He had instructed the cooks not to wash the leftover utensils of Dalit children in the school. At the same time, the children of the school have also confirmed this. Dalit children told, ‘Master Sahib has said that you should bring utensils from home to eat, you belong to a low caste.’ However, the principal has denied these allegations. He says that some teachers teaching in the school are conspiring against him. He also says that teachers do not do their work honestly. On protesting this, the teachers instigated some children and parents for this matter and gathered a crowd here and created a ruckus.
District Magistrate gave assurance of action
Kanpur Dehat District Magistrate Neha Jain said that this type of discrimination will not be tolerated. Action will be taken against the teacher who talks like this. The district’s Basic Education Officer Riddhi Pandey said that a team will be formed and the entire matter will be investigated. He assured strict action against the teacher if found guilty.
