Tikamgarh: Chef slaps Dalit student for asking for roti – student’s allegation
A case of assault with a student of class 8 has come to light in Government High School of Narayanpur village under Baldevgarh development block of Tikamgarh district. The student alleges that the cook had given her dry roti while getting the mid-day meal. When he asked for another roti from the cook, the cook abused him and slapped him.

First the girl is given dry bread by the cook and for the second time there is an allegation of slapping the girl student.
The girl says that the woman is the mother-in-law of a cook of the school, who was doing duty at her daughter-in-law’s place that day. The girl’s father told that he has also written a complaint about the matter in the police station but till now no action has been taken. The father also told that caste discrimination is very high in his village and school. Some children are given food by the cook from a distance and the rest of the children in a simple way.
The daughter-in-law of the accused woman says that her mother-in-law has not assaulted the student in any way and all the allegations leveled by the student are false. The woman also says that due to mutual enmity, such allegations are being made against her mother-in-law forcibly.
Baldevgarh BRC says that due to the mutual enmity of the village, there is a dispute between both the parties and due to that the student has accused the woman of assault. He says that he has done a complete investigation from his side, but now that the girl’s father has written a report in the police station, the police will take further action.
