Attempted attack on Sakhuwa Prasaini rural municipality chairman Yadav

10 Asage: There has been an attempt to attack Jaswant Yadav, chairman of Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality of Parsa. An attempt was made to attack Yadav on Sunday evening when he was returning to his home in ward number 6 from the rural municipality office in ward number 2.
Rishikumar Sahni and Nagendra Prasad Yadav, who were with Chairman Yadav, were injured in the attack by a group of 10/12 people. Police said that Sahni’s hand was broken while Yadav’s head was injured.
As a result of the attack, the window of the vehicle numbered No. 1 Jh 1687 of the chairman Sawar rural municipality office was broken, while a private car numbered No. 2 Ch 866 was set on fire.
Chairman Yadav said that he was attacked with the intention of killing himself while returning home from the office. “I was returning home from the office, as soon as I reached Sakhuwaprasauni-5 Baluwa, 10/12 people attacked me,” he said, “nothing happened to me, but two people were injured.”
Pramod Yadav, Anil Patel, Rambabu Yadav and others of the rural municipality tried to kill the chairman Yadav.
According to him, some people in the office made noise and abused the staff. One person was arrested after the police were called after they refused to comply. Yadav said that he may have been attacked in retaliation.
According to sources, Deeparanjan Giri, nicknamed ‘Bullet’, the grandson of state assembly member Pralhad Giri, who joined UML from LOSPA, went to the rural municipality office on Sunday afternoon. A few days ago, a member of the Giri family named Rajuraj Giri posted a ‘status’ on Facebook about the abuse of the village car.
Balwant Yadav, the brother of village chairman Yadav, assaulted Deeparanjan and called the police to arrest him. Eyewitnesses have said that Jaspa’s Deeplal Sah God got injured in the process. Locals said that the angry group then attacked Chairman Yadav.
Superintendent of Police Umesh Basnet informed that three people have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the incident. “As soon as I got the information about the incident, I reached the scene of the incident by mobilizing the police team,” he said.
