Rajasthan / Barmer. In Rajasthan, the Padru outpost police under Siwana police station in Barmer district has been accused of brutally beating a daily wage laborer without any reason. The police beat up the laborer so mercilessly that even a daily wage laborer is finding it difficult to even sit up. Due to the beating of the police, there were injuries in many places in his body. The victim youth Babulal son Punamaram Bhil told that, “I was going from Padru to my village by getting down at Mithoda bus stand while sitting in the bus. Then three other policemen including Ghamdaram of Padru outpost stopped the way and started beating me without any inquiry. On protesting, the police forcibly made me drink liquor, after which I got my medical done.

The victim told in her complaint that, “When I was being put in the car, my brothers were coming after me, they tried to free them, but the police did not leave. The policemen took me to Padru post. Where Ghamdaram, Daularam, Dedaram and Kaluram all beat me up by tying my hands and feet and putting a stick in my feet. When I asked the reason, he used casteist abuses. When I protested, I was forcibly made to drink. After that my medical was done.
“All these policemen and driver after drinking alcohol beat me up again in the night at the outpost. locked in a room. In the morning, after taking me to the tehsil, my father Punamaram son Mavaram and Devaram son Budharam came and took me away from the tehsil. The victim said.
“Not a single case has been registered against me”
The victim presented the report and said that till today no action has been taken against me in the police station nor is any case going on. Due to the beating, my body is hurting and causing headache and dizziness. He also hit me on the ear due to which I am hearing less. The police told me that if you take action against us, the result will not be good.
Regarding this matter, the victim gave a report to the police station and demanded legal action against the accused policemen and the driver of the vehicle.
In the episode, it was told through a tweet by the official Twitter handle of Barmer Police that the youth was arrested under 151 CrPC in this regard. On receipt of the report against the policeman, the investigation has been given to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Balotra.
In the case, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dhanphool Meena says that an investigation has been sent by the Siwana Police Officer regarding this matter. Departmental action will be taken after examining all the facts in this regard.
