Lucknow. A Dalit student was killed by a social science teacher of an inter college in Achhalda area of Auraiya in UP. The accused teacher was absconding after the death of the student, who was arrested by the police and presented in the court on Thursday, from where he has been taken on remand.
It is noteworthy that for the arrest of the accused teacher, Bhim Army and Dalit organizations had demonstrated by placing dead bodies at the crossroads. During this the police used force. Angry villagers pelted stones at the police and also torched a police vehicle (second mobile). In this case, the police had named 35 people including the father of the deceased, his maternal uncle and uncle under serious sections. In this case also the police have arrested seven people.

A 15-year-old student, Nikhit Kumar, who was injured in the beating of Ashwani Singh, a teacher of Adarsh Inter College in Achhalda town of Auraiya in UP, died at the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences Saifai. Superintendent of Police Charu Nigam said, “On 26 September 2022, outside Adarsh Inter College at 9.15 pm, along with the officials of Bhim Army, relatives were protesting by placing dead bodies. Meanwhile, some mischievous elements set fire to the police jeep of Airavakatra police station and also pelted stones. More than two dozen people were taken into custody. Seven accused have also been arrested in this case on Thursday.
