Ambulance driver sent to jail for raping 14-year-old in B’baria
An ambulance driver was sent to jail yesterday (October 2, 2022) in a case filed for raping a 14-year-old girl in Brahmanbaria town on early Saturday.
The suspected rapist Jibon Miah (32) of Paschim Medda area of the town, was sent to jail by a court yesterday afternoon, reports our local correspondent quoting Ibrahim Akand, sub-inspector of Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station.
After locals informed police about the matter, Jibon was detained. The victim was later taken to hospital, said the SI.
The victim’s grandmother filed a case in which Jibon was shown arrested, he also said.
When contacted, Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Md Emranul Islam said the medical examination of the victim was done at Brahmanbaria General Hospital.
The ambulance has been seized as evidence in the case, he added.
