NINE PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR GANG RAPE OF TWO GIRLS IN RUPANDEHI

The police have arrested nine people involved in gang rape of two teenage girls from Rurpandehi.
According to the police, a group of 12/13 people who came on a motorcycle raped two teenage girls after watching a cultural program in Kanchan Rural Municipality of Rupandehi.
Those arrested on charges of rape are 19-year-old Padam Karki of Sainamaina Municipality Ward No. 11 Vanakatti of Rupandehi, 16-year-old alias NT of Rupandehi Gaandhwa Village Ward No. 8 Mainia Durga Mandir, 18-year-old Rahul Periyar, 17-year-old alias PM of Sainamaina Municipality Ward They are Bobby Pandey aged 18 years old living in Vanakatti, Ram Bahadur Vick aged 26 aged 26 living in Mania Durga Mandir, Gaindhwa village ward number 8, changed name A Paus aged 16 years and SS aged 14 years old.
According to the police, the people who were following the motorcycle on the third road showed them homemade sharp weapons and physically attacked the people who were with the victim girl and kidnapped the 15-year-old and 16-year-old minors in three motorcycles.
A group of 6 of them took turns forcing a 16-year-old minor to go to a secluded bank of the Kanchan River in Goflapur, Kanchan Rural Municipality 2, Kudiakhola. After the minor screamed, the villagers came to know and informed the police.
The team of the area police office Saljhandi reached the spot at 1.30 pm after the locals reported it. In that sequence, 6 people left the victim and ran away, but the victim was immediately rescued by the police and taken under protection. The brothers of the minor victim were also injured in the attack with sharp weapons.
As only one of the kidnapped girls was found from the same place, the police immediately searched for the whereabouts of the other 15-year-old minor, and found the 15-year-old minor about two kilometers north of the previous incident. At 1:55 am in the dense forest of Deurali Community Forest, the police went there after hearing the juvenile screaming while seven people were taking turns forcing her. Meanwhile, the police found the girl victim alone and rescued her, while the people involved in the incident fled immediately, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyamu Aryal informed.
The people involved in the incident were arrested by the teams of the area police office Saljhands, Rudrapur and Suryapura from different places of the district. Jagannath Marasini, police inspector of the area police office Saljhandi, said that all the arrested defendants have been remanded for the crimes related to kidnapping and rape.
