Rajasthan: Dalit bus driver was beaten to death on just this matter
In the dark of night, the bus collided with the bench kept outside the sweet shop. Started beating after asking caste, died.

Jaipur. New cases of Dalit atrocities are continuously coming to the fore in the state. Dalits are being killed here sometimes for riding a mare and sometimes for having a moustache. In one case, a case of death of an innocent student by beating for touching a pot of water has also come to the fore. Now the latest case of Dalit murder has come to the fore from Pali district. Where the Dalit bus driver unknowingly overturned the bus in the dark of night and the bus collided with the seating bench kept in front of the hotel. On the unwanted mistake of the bus driver, the accused first asked the bus driver his name and caste. As soon as the bus driver mentioned his caste as Meghwal by name, the hotel owner started humiliating him on the basis of caste. After this, along with his brother-in-law, son and hotel workers, he was beaten to death. On information, the police reached the spot, took the dead body in possession and reached the community health center of Nadol.
In this regard, Gundoj, a resident of the deceased’s uncle Rugram Meghwal, has registered a case of murder against Sawai Singh, a sweet shop owner of Nadol, his brother-in-law, son Rudraksh, hotel workers Bittu, Ghevar Devasi and others at Rani police station.
Demand for the arrest of the accused, did not allow postmortem
As soon as the news of the murder of Dalit bus driver Govind spread, a crowd of Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party office bearers along with other Bahujan organizations gathered in Nadol town. When the police started the post-mortem action on Sunday, the relatives protested and demanded to arrest the accused of murder first, due to which the hands and legs of the police swelled. Circle officer Bali Achal Singh, police station officer Mahendra Singh reached the spot of the police raid. While the family members were consulted for the post-mortem, but the uncle of the deceased, Rugaram, asked to do the post-mortem only after the arrest of the accused.
What was the fault of my nephew..!
Rugaram Ram, the uncle of the deceased bus driver Govind Meghwal, tells The Mooknayak , “What was my nephew’s fault? In the dark of night, the bus accidentally hit a bench. Won’t arrest, won’t let postmortem happen.”
Talking to The Mooknayak , Bhim Army District President Pali Vijayraj Parihar said that Dalits are being killed every day in Rajasthan. This is a serious matter. The people sitting in the government and administration adopt a double attitude towards the Dalits. After the murder of Kanhaiya Lal tailor in Udaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot himself went to the house of the deceased and announced to give government jobs to two people along with historic financial assistance of Rs. Let’s arrest.
Bhim Army District President Parihar alleged that when a Dalit is killed here, the police first hesitates to register a case. When the FIR was registered, now it is avoiding arresting the accused. Such double standards will not be allowed to continue. Bahujan has now woken up.
Advocate Shripal Meghwal also questioned the intention of the police here and said that the police is pressurizing for the post-mortem. We are demanding the arrest of the accused before the post-mortem.

Rani police station officer Singh Khinchi told The Mooknayak that “after the death of Govind, his uncle Gundoj, a resident of Rugaram, gave a report that his nephew Govind was a bus driver. Was taking the bus back. Then unknowingly the bus hit the seating bench outside the nearby Jodhpur Sweets sweet shop. On this the hotel owner Sawai Singh started abusing Prarthi’s nephew. The accused shop owner asked him about his name and caste. On telling Meghwal with his name, the accused insulted him by using caste-specific words. Along with this, the accused, along with his brother-in-law, his son Rudraksh, hotel workers Bittu, Ghevar Devasi, etc., made a murderous attack on Govind. done.”
“During this time, some people intervened. On this, the accused chased away the people who came to save Govind. And again started fighting with Govind. Govind died due to serious injuries in the fight. Later, the accused fled leaving the body on the road”, the SHO said, registering a case of murder and handing over the investigation to Bali Circle Officer Anchal Singh.
Bali Circle Officer Anchal Singh, who is probing the Govind Meghwal murder case, said that a case has been registered at Rani police station for the murder of bus driver Govind Meghwal in Nadol. “I am investigating the matter. The post-mortem of the dead body has not been done yet. We are discussing with the family members for the post-mortem with the people of the social organization. Can’t say anything before the investigation. The dead body is kept in Nadol’s government hospital. Is.”
