Madhya Pradesh: Sold a minor girl for 40 thousand rupees, cases of human trafficking are increasing in the state

Bhopal. Despite the strictness of the police department in Madhya Pradesh, the cases of human trafficking are not taking the name of stopping. Especially in such cases, women and children of Dalit, tribal communities are their victims. Now the case of human trafficking has come to the fore from Sagar district of the state. Where a minor girl was sold for only 40 thousand rupees. The minor was married off in another district and was sexually abused.
The minor, who had gone missing a month ago from Sagar Cantt police station, has been recovered by the police from Gugwara village in Chhatarpur district. The statements of the minor were taken by bringing them to the police station. The matter of selling the minor has come to the fore in the statements. Taking action in the case, the police have arrested three accused.
What is the whole matter?
According to the police, a month ago, the complainant’s father had registered a missing case of the daughter at the Cantt police station. In the complaint, the father had told the police that his 14-year-old minor daughter was taken away by an unknown person by coaxing. As soon as the complaint was received, the police registered a missing case and started investigation. Meanwhile, during the investigation, the police got information that the missing minor girl is in Gugwara of Chhatarpur. As soon as the information was received, the police team left for Gugwara. Police rescued the girl. The police team brought Sagar and recorded the statement of the minor.
In the statements, the minor girl told the police the entire incident that happened with her. According to the police, the minor girl told the police that the accused Hemu alias Rajesh Ahirwar had taken her along on the pretext of marriage. Rajesh took him to Damoh and kept him in his house overnight. After this, the accused Rajesh along with his wart Gopal took him to village Gugwara in Chhatarpur district. There Rajesh sold the girl after taking 40 thousand rupees from Brajlal. The girl told that she was forcibly married there and Rajesh and his warts left her there. The minor told the police that after marriage, Brajlal misbehaved with me.
Case registered against all three accused
Sagar’s Cantt police station has registered a case against the accused on the basis of the statements of the minor in the case of selling and sexual exploitation of a minor girl. While taking action, the police arrested the accused Hemu alias Rajesh Ahirwar, aged 23 years, resident of village Ghanshyampura Damoh, Gopal Ahirwar (40), resident of village Kaithora Colony Batiyagarh and Brajlal Ahirwar (29), resident of Gugwara Chhatarpur.
The woman was involved in the incident
The accused arrested in the case of human trafficking told during interrogation that the accused Rajesh introduced his warts Gopal and aunt to Brajlal by making them parents of the minor. After this there was talk of money transaction. 40 thousand rupees were taken in exchange for getting married. Accused Rajesh had given Rs 5,000 to Mousa. The aunt of the accused involved in the case is currently absconding, for whom the police is searching.

There have been many cases before
In August 2022, a sensational case of human trafficking by a woman came to light in Sagar district. Where the accused woman used to sell children to other states. The police had recovered two missing girls at that time. Cases ranging from prostitution to illegal liquor were registered against the woman arrested in the case. A woman named Basanti of Sagar used to make small children victims and make them do illegal work. At the same time, she used to sell them after intoxicating them. The strings of the gang were connected to Kolkata. An accused youth resident of Kolkata was also arrested in Sagar.
Human trafficking was revealed in the investigation of the disappearance of two minor girls who went missing on July 30, 2022 from Veerpura under Jainagar police station of Sagar district. In this case, the Jainagar police station and women’s station in-charge Sangeeta Singh had detained 30-year-old Basanti Ahirwar, a resident of Bada Karila Motinagar, the main female gangster. When the interrogation started, the case of human trafficking came to the fore.
Disclosure can be made by finding missing girls
In the case of missing children, when the police do not get any other clue, then a missing report is registered. But when the missing girls are found, heinous crimes like human trafficking come to light. Many cases of human trafficking have come to the fore in the state. Most of these children of tribal and Dalit communities become victims. Most of the incidents are reported in the tribal-dominated areas of the state. Along with this, the incidents of human trafficking are highest in the tribal areas near the Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Bihar borders.
MP on top in case of crime against children
According to the report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), in 2021, maximum crimes against children have been registered in the state. In 2021, 19,173 cases of crime against children have been registered, which is the highest in the country. According to NCRB data of previous years Madhya Pradesh has registered a steady increase in crimes against children year after year. There has been a 337% increase in crimes against children from 2011 to 2021. The total number of cases in Madhya Pradesh was 4,383 in 2011, which has increased to 19,173 in 2021.
