Man arrested for raping schoolgirl
A Moulvibazar court yesterday sent a man to jail in a case filed over the rape of a 7-year-old second-grade schoolgirl in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar.
Dipu Reli, 19, son of Sanmunna Reli, was arrested on Saturday night, said Kamalganj Police OC Sanjoy Chakrabarty.
The girl is undergoing treatment at Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital.
Her mother filed a case against Dipu — a neighbour.
According to the case statement, Dipu lured the girl to his house and raped her there.
Afterwards, she returned home and told her family members about the matter.
