Jaipur. A Bhil family in Dudhvat village under Raniwada police station area of Jalore district of Rajasthan has been fighting a legal battle for a long time to get their Khatedari land fenced. The government order for the fencing of Khatedari farm under police protection is also gathering dust. The victims Ramudevi and Ajuram Bhil revenue department are sometimes visiting the police office to comply with the order of Raniwada sub-divisional officer, but no one is ready to listen to their plight.
This is the order of SDM
Farmer Ajuram s/o Taraji Bhil resident Dudhvat had submitted an application to the Ranivada Sub-Divisional Officer and told that the applicant has Khatedari farm in Khasra No. 3066/2974 in Ranivada Khurd. Khasra number 48 Gair Mumkin Nala is near this farm. There is a field of accused Fateh Singh etc. in Khasra number 49 near the drain. On November 28, 2022, the Raniwada Tehsildar formed a team and got the land of the said Khasra numbers marked. The applicant wants to get fencing done on Math (Mer) between his farm and government land to protect the crop from cattle. In the past, in the presence of police and revenue officials, despite border knowledge, the bullies had stopped the fencing work by creating a dispute. The applicant wants to get his field fenced again.
Accepting the prayer letter of the farmer, Sub-Divisional Officer Kusum Lata wrote a letter to the Raniwada Police Officer and ordered to get the fencing done on February 27, 2023, but it has not been implemented yet. The victim, Ajuram, says that the accused have also blocked the road leading to his farm. While this is a government drain. There is a public road 30 feet away from here. Despite this, they are not allowed to go to the farm. They are always intent on creating a quarrel. In the past too, they have been beaten up for fencing off and coming out of the government drain for ploughing. The people of the police administration are also not listening to them.
have filed lawsuits in the past
On October 30, 2022, Ramu Devi’s wife Ajuram Bhil had given a report at Raniwada police station and told that the Khatedari land of applicant’s husband Ajuram Bhil is in Ranivada Khurd village. Similarly, castor and guar crops were sown in the said land. On October 30, at 11 am, she went with her husband to erect Thobli (cement pillars) on the lore (mer) of the field.
According to the report, the couple was planting thobli in Khatedari field inside Lor. During this, accused Virbahadur Singh S/o Fateh Singh and Fateh Singh S/o Sher Singh Rajput residents of Ranivada Khurd came in vehicles. Both of them unauthorizedly entered our Khatedari farm by vehicles. Used abusive words. When the applicant refused to speak abusive words, the accused father and son got angry. Insulted with casteist words. Started saying that how can you bury a thobli in your field without our permission. Saying this, the accused father and son broke the pillars in our field with their respective vehicles.
The applicant further told in the report that he folded hands of father and son and said that you are our donor. Do not do this. Despite this, she also had a fight with her husband.
Ajuram tells that, in the past too, the people of the police and administration had pressurized the accused to resign by filing false cases against them and the witnesses to save them. He says that instead of arresting the accused who assaulted us, the police pressurized the victim as well as arrested the witness in the case filed on his behalf for breach of peace.
Ajuram further states that despite constant pressure, when he did not agree to the agreement, on December 12, a quarter of a month after the incident, the police had taken a false report from the accused and even filed a false case of the Arms Act against the victim along with the witnesses. .
‘Make an agreement, there is a lawyer in front of you’
Ajuram alleges that, the policemen told him to resign, you will be in profit. There is a lawyer in front. When he refused to resign, the next day on November 1, 2022, the accused Veer Bahadur Singh’s son Fateh Singh gave a report in the police station and told that there is land belonging to his father and other family members on the Dudhvat border. Nanjiram (witness in Ramudevi Bhil’s trial) was accused of forcefully erecting poles in our field with a tractor. When refused, they thrashed. On this the police registered a case against Nanjiram.
Victim and witnesses arrested
Ajuram Bhil says that the police did not stop here in favor of the accused. In the name of investigation, Ajuram Bhil and Nanjiram were called to the police station and arrested on charges of breach of peace and pressure was created for the agreement.
Case registered again in Arms Act
Ajuram says that when he was not ready to compromise in any way, on December 12, accused Fateh Singh Rajput filed a case against him in Raniwada by making fabricated allegations of brandishing arms while nominating witnesses in the case. The police had also registered a case against him under the Arms Act without investigation.
National General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Ki Awaz Sangh Bhanwar Lal Adivasi said that if the administration does not get the land of Bhil family fenced in a week, then the tribal society will protest outside the subdivision officer’s office in Ranivada.
Regarding the entire incident, The Mooknayak repeatedly tried to contact the Sub-Divisional Officer, Ranivada and the Police Station Officer, Ranivada, but both could not be contacted.
