#Hyderabad In yet another incident of police high-handedness, a head constable Gyaneshwar and his son Vamshi allegedly assaulted a Dalit boy and later tried to run over his family members with their car, when they came to question them for attacking the boy. The incident took place at Muchintal under Shamshabad PS limits of Cyberabad commissionerate. Shamshabad SHO A Sreedhar Kumar said a case has been registered against the accused persons and the investigation is underway. A few days ago, a youngster identified as Pavan Kumar was passing by Gyaneshwar’s house, to which he and his son objected and assaulted Pavan. As Pavan became unconscious, his parents and a few villagers came to question Gyaneshwar. Angered by this, he drove his car on them to run over them. Hit by the car one of the villagers identified as Raju fell on the bonnet, but Gyaneshwar drove away up to hundred metres with Raju on the bonnet. Villagers intercepted the vehicle and rescued him.
