Bhopal. Dalit sanitation workers working in Nepanagar Municipality of Madhya Pradesh were first regularized and then after three months the order of regularization was cancelled. Since this case, the municipality is being accused of negligence. Along with this, the employees have not been able to get salary for two months. The special thing is that the issue of recovering the difference of one month’s salary from these employees has also come to the fore, due to which the employees are indignant. Now the employees are talking about going to court.
What is the matter?
Nepanagar Municipality had regularized 15 sweepers on 23 February 2023. Now on May 31, the then CMO issued an order re-regulating the regular employees. It was said in the order that the orders are canceled after the objection comes.
Salary not received for two months
All these sanitation workers have not been able to get their salary for two months. The special thing is that the amount of difference of one month’s salary is also being asked to be recovered from these employees. This has angered the employees. Now the employees are talking about going to court. He also met CMO Pradeep Sharma on Wednesday and informed about the situation. But the CMO says that this order has not been issued from the divisional level. Therefore, the salary which has been given to the employees since regularization will have to be returned. Meanwhile, if a solution emerges from the government level, then that is a different matter.
Orders for regularization of 15 employees were issued by the Municipal Council. It was mentioned in the order that according to the proposal of the President-in-Council meeting on January 10, on the basis of the circular of the government, according to the 6th pay scale 4440-74440 GP 1300, seventh pay scale level 1, according to the rules, the sweepers will be regulated on the examination period of one year at 16 thousand. is done regularly. They will be given the benefit of allowances payable by the government. The seniority list is regularized as per the reservation roster. But after three months this order has been canceled by the CMO.

Talking to The Mooknayak, Manish Makwana, president of the Nepanagar Safai Karamchari Sangh, said that the municipality paid one month’s salary to 15 employees by regularizing them. Then they were not paid salary for two months and now they have been regularized back. Chairman Manish Makwana said that there is resentment among the employees. The order of regularization has been quashed. We will challenge it in court. We have also talked to the CMO. Our union will correspond with the concerned authorities. Here, he called the CMO of Nepanagar Municipality to talk on the phone, but the conversation could not be done.
