Rajasthan: Dalit youth murdered in Barmer amid Biparjoy storm, beaten to death, created ruckus

Barmer. In Barmer district located in western Rajasthan, another major incident has come to the fore amid the devastation caused by Biparjoy storm. Barmer (Barmer) Once again a Dalit was beaten to death (Dalit youth murder). The Dalit youth, who was a victim of assault, died during treatment. After that anger spread in the Dalit society. Angry family members and villagers demonstrated with seven point demands. After talks with the police administration and the Chauhtan MLA, the family agreed to take the dead body. The police got the post-mortem done and handed over the dead body to the relatives.
Barmer Superintendent of Police Digant Anand told that the incident of murder of a Dalit youth took place in Sanau village of Chauhtan police station area of the district. There, on Saturday, there was a fatal attack on a Dalit youth at Pemaram. At the time of the incident, Pemaram was going from his house to meet his neighbor Gumnaram. During that time, four people ambushed on the way attacked him with sharp weapons. Pemaram was brutally assaulted. Due to this he was seriously injured.
Died during treatment in Jodhpur
Later, the relatives got Pemaram admitted to the District Hospital of Barmer Medical College for treatment. Seeing the critical condition of Pemaram there, after first aid, he was referred to Jodhpur for treatment. Pemaram died on Sunday during treatment in Jodhpur. After getting the information about the death, Chauhtan police station reached Jodhpur hospital and took the dead body and kept it in the mortuary. On the basis of the report of the father of the deceased, a case has been registered and the investigation of the entire matter has been started.
Anger spread among family members and villagers
After the news of Pemaram’s death, resentment spread among his family members and villagers. They refused to take the dead body and started protesting with seven point demands. After this, after talks with the police administration and Chauhtan’s Congress MLA Padmaram Meghwal, the relatives agreed to pick up the dead body. The Superintendent of Police said that the accused named in the case have been rounded up. All the accused are being interrogated thoroughly as per the demands of the family members. In this case, a case has been registered under serious sections including IPC section 302. The police is engaged in the investigation of the whole matter.
