Two minor girls from the Dalit community were abducted from Latehar district of Jharkhand and gangraped with them for several days.
Ranchi: Two minor girls of Dalit community were abducted from Latehar district of Jharkhand and gang-raped with them for several days. Both of them were imprisoned in a room in Garhwa district, where they were raped several times every day for almost a week. The police have freed both the girls. So far four accused have also been arrested.
The girls are residents of Barwadih in Latehar district. Eight days ago both had gone missing from the house. In this regard, the relatives of the girls had lodged an FIR in the police station. Latehar SP Anjani Anjan formed the SIT and entrusted it with the investigation.
During the investigation, the police got information that the girls were abducted and taken to Garhwa. The police team reached Garhwa and freed them. Four accused were nabbed on the spot. According to the police, he was kept confined in a room. They were not allowed to go out. Many people used to come to this house during the day and they were gang-raped.
In this regard, SDPO Dilu Lohra told that the mastermind of the incident is Ajay Keshari. Along with him the police have arrested Ashish Kumar, Kunal Kumar and Hrithik Narang. In the last month of April in Chandwa of Latehar district, a Dalit minor was murdered in Haka village after she was gang-raped. In that case also, the police had arrested five accused and sent them to jail.
