According to media reports, the whole matter is of UP’s Rampur district, which is a two-day-old incident, where a Dalit woman had gone to the farm to cut fodder for her cattle on Friday evening, August 18. While returning, the goons of the village molested her and after protesting beat her and tore her clothes, along with this the goons fled leaving the woman naked in a state of unconsciousness.
All the four accused are from the village.
Even after a long time, when the woman did not return home, the family members along with some companions reached the farm to search for her, then they found the woman unconscious on the farm naked, after which the women were immediately taken to the hospital and admitted. Later, the woman went home and narrated the incident, after which the police have registered a case against the four accused Mahipal, Hiralal, Rajkumar and younger son Mohammad Nabi of the village on the basis of her husband’s Tahrir.

In the same case, Patwai police station in-charge Harendra Yadav told that an FIR has been lodged against Mahipal, Hiralal, Rajkumar alias Raju, and Nanhe of the woman’s village under the sections of molestation, insulting with casteist words etc. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused. On the other hand, on Monday, tweeting from the Twitter handle of Rampur Police said that in relation to the above case, charges have been registered at Police Station Patwai, Rampur under relevant sections. Critical action is being taken.
