Here three Dalit youths were tied to a tree and beaten up on suspicion of stealing goats and pigeons. What is the whole matter
This incident happened with three Dalit youths working as laborers in Haregaon. It was suspected that these youths had stolen a goat and four pigeons from Galande’s basti in Undirgaon. Then some bullies stripped all the three youths and hanged them upside down from the tree. On being asked about the theft, he was mercilessly beaten up. The families of the victims say that an inhuman act was done to them. Shubham Waghade, Kunal Magar, Om Gaikwad were seriously injured in this beating. He has been admitted to the hospital. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media. These youths and their families earn their living by working as laborers.
Police recorded statements
On getting information about this incident, the office bearers of the Republican organization reached the hospital in Shrirampur. These include Surendra Thorat, Pradeep Thorat, Deepak Ohal, Nana Kharat, Akshay Maghade, Amol Shinde, Milind Sonawane. After getting the information from the police, Shrirampur’s Additional Superintendent of Police Swati Bhor, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sandeep Mitke reached the hospital and questioned the victim youth. The statements of him and his relatives were recorded. The accused will not be spared: Police meanwhile Pradeep Thorat has warned that strict action should be taken against the accused.
