MP: Dalit youth beaten and his nose rubbed, angry community gives ultimatum to police

A video went viral on social media, case registered against six people.

Bhopal. In Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, a Dalit youth was first brutally beaten and then made to rub his nose on his feet. The video of this entire incident has gone viral on social media. In this case, the police have registered a case against 6 accused under various sections including atrocity.

What is the whole matter?

Actually, a video had gone viral on social media, in which some people were beating a Dalit youth. Later the young man was made to rub his nose on the feet of the accused. In this video, the victim youth is seen with folded hands requesting the accused to leave him. The said video is said to be from the night of 8th February. According to the information, the victim was taken to Dewas by his friend to celebrate his birthday party. There was a dispute over money transaction, after which the accused, under the influence of alcohol, beat up the youth. The beating was so severe that the young man became unconscious.

After the video of this incident went viral, on the report of the victim, BNP police station registered a case against 6 named accused under sections 323, 294, 506, 342 and SC/ST Act and arrested 4 accused.

According to the police, the victim Ramsingh Makwana is a resident of Chandesara in Nagjhiri area of ​​Ujjain. The main accused Shubham Rajput also lives in Datana, Ujjain, both are friends of each other and together they do the work of buying and selling land. On February 8, Shubham Rajput and Ram Singh had come to the Family Dhaba located at Bypass in Dewas to celebrate their birthday, where Shubham’s other friends also attended the party. Where there was a dispute between the two regarding money transaction.

The victim Ram Singh told the police that he had become friends with Shubham only 6 months ago, there was no transaction of money. On the day of the incident, a friend brought me to Dewas on the pretext of birthday. He called his friends at the dhaba. After this a ransom of Rs 5 lakh was demanded from him. Later it was realized that Shubham had made a video of him, in which he had accepted to give Rs 5 lakh. After this video went viral, Ram Singh reached the police station and lodged his complaint.

BNP police station in-charge Amit Solanki said that on the report of the victim, the police arrested Shubham Rajput, resident of Dattana district Ujjain, Nitin alias Ammu Hatila, age 19, resident of Chuna Khana Balgarh, Govind alias Goga Modi, age 20, resident of Laxmipura and Tilakraj Rathod, age 20. A case has been registered against two other accused including year resident of village Nipaniya, district Dewas. Also, four accused Shubham, Nitin, Govind and Tilakraj have been arrested, while two are absconding.
