An incident has come to light from Madhya Pradesh which has put humanity to shame. This incident has once again raised questions on women’s safety. In fact, in Madhya Pradesh, a Dalit woman who was going home after harvesting wheat was gang-raped. Frustrated by the incident, the woman attempted suicide. Know what is the whole matter.
What is the whole matter?
Actually, this entire matter is of Bordehi police station area of Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. Where the woman was going home after harvesting wheat and then the woman was gang-raped. The accused took the woman under the culvert on the pretext of giving her a lift and committed the crime by stuffing a cloth in her mouth. Due to the shock of the incident, the woman even attempted suicide.
Gang rape:
According to the information, between Daganriya and Baragaon of Bordehi police station area of Betul district, on the evening of Saturday, March 17, when the victimized Dalit woman was returning home after harvesting wheat, the two youths took the lift to take the woman. On the pretext of giving money, they took the woman under a culvert and by stuffing a cloth in her mouth, both the accused gang-raped the woman. After committing the incident, both the accused fled away leaving the woman at the spot.
Suicide attempt:
The victim woman had not told anyone about this incident. Hurt by this incident, the woman even attempted suicide. However, the victim woman was admitted to Multai Community Health Centre. When the woman’s condition became critical, she was referred to Betul District Hospital. After her condition became stable, the woman informed the district hospital staff about what happened to her.
Then the district hospital staff informed the police post in-charge about this incident, after which the higher officials were informed about this incident.
Identification of one of the two accused:
As soon as the incident came to light, Betul SDOP, Kotwali police station in-charge and police officers reached the district hospital and the administrative officer was also informed about it. Administrative officer Naib Tehsildar and police recorded the statement of the woman. On the basis of the information given by the woman, the police has sent information to the concerned police stations to search for the accused. In this case, it is also coming to light that the victim woman has identified one of the two accused, information about which has also been given to the police.
