Jhunjhunu. In Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district’s Surajgarh area, the legs of a Dalit employee working in a cowshed were tied and hung upside down from an iron pipe. During this, his soles were beaten with sticks for 6 hours. The young man died due to severe third degree torture. The police arrested all the accused involved in this murder within 48 hours of the incident. The police have also detained a minor in this case. Police investigation revealed that these accused had made videos while beating the young man. Two videos of the incident surfaced on Tuesday.

Sukhdev Singh, in-charge of Surajgarh police station in Jhunjhunu district, said, “There is a rivalry between liquor contract employees and illegal liquor makers in Baloda. This incident has been carried out due to suspicion of illegal liquor sale in the area. The businessmen running the liquor contract felt that their income was being affected due to illegal liquor. People associated with the liquor contract were suspicious.”

Rameshwar Valmiki (27), son of Hanuman, who works at a cowshed, is in contact with illegal liquor makers and they want to end their business through Rameshwar. Due to this enmity, the accused kidnapped Rameshwar from his house.

The police station in-charge said- “On 14th May, after returning from the cowshed, Rameshwar left his house at 11 am to attend a Saavanni program. As soon as he left, the miscreants kidnapped him in a camper car and took him to a mansion. There he was tied up and beaten with sticks at various places on his legs and body for 6 hours. They beat him brutally. They made a video. Two of the accused held his hands and legs and the third one beat him brutally with sticks. He was sometimes beaten while lying down and sometimes while hanging. After being beaten badly, Rameshwar fell unconscious. He could not bear the torture and he died. At 7 pm, the accused fled after throwing his dead body near his house.”

On receiving the information, DSP Vikas Dhindwal and Thanadhikari Sukhdev Singh reached the spot with the police force. Dog squad was also called. It is being told that the accused took Rameshwar to a private hospital in Satnali, Haryana. There the doctors declared him dead. After this, they fled after throwing his body outside his house at 7 pm.

The accused were arrested within 48 hours

Rameshwar’s elder brother Kaluram filed a named report against 6 accused in Surajgarh police station. In this, a report was filed against Chintu son Mahavir, Parvat son Pawan, Sukha, Praveen Urika, Chintu and another one.

SP Rajarshi Verma told The Muknayak- “On May 16, the police arrested the accused Dipendra alias Chintu, Praveen Kumar alias PK, Subhash alias Chintu, Satish alias Sukh resident Baloda, Praveen alias Baba resident Urika police station Surajgarh. Cases of assault and Arms Act are already registered against the four accused. Dipendra alias Chintu is a history-sheeter of Surajgarh police station.

According to the information, apart from Rameshwar, the accused had also kidnapped a youth named Jethu Nayak. According to Jethu, the accused had taken them to a liquor warehouse built in a mansion in the village itself. Both of them were beaten up there. Rameshwar’s elder brother Kaluram lives with his family in Neemkathana and works as a labourer. The second brother Sultan lives in Rajgarh. Rameshwar’s mother lived with him in the house in Baloda. The father has already passed away. After the death of her son, the mother is in a bad condition due to constant crying.
