MP: Why did BJP give notice to the Dalit MLA who raised the voice of farmers in the Assembly?

If an MLA raised the issue keeping in mind the problems of farmers, why did the party consider it indiscipline? Is the BJP trying to suppress such questions that can affect its image?

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh BJP has issued a show-cause notice to Dr. Chintamani Malviya, a Scheduled Caste MLA from Alot assembly constituency. This notice has been issued as a result of questions raised by Malviya regarding land acquisition in Ujjain’s Simhastha area during the budget session of the assembly. The party has sought an explanation within seven days, considering his statements and actions as indiscipline. The question arises that when an MLA raised the issue keeping in mind the problems of farmers, why did the party consider it indiscipline? Is the BJP trying to suppress such questions, which can affect its image?
What is the matter?
In the assembly, Dr Malviya thanked the chief minister for allocating Rs 2,000 crore for Simhastha Mahakumbh, but also raised the concerns of Ujjain farmers. He said that earlier farmers’ land was acquired for 3 to 6 months for Simhastha, but now they are getting notices for permanent acquisition, which has scared and troubled them.
Malviya also raised the question as to which officer has presented the idea of building a Spiritual City. He said that spirituality does not reside in any city, but in people who sacrifice. He feared that there could be a conspiracy of colonizers and land mafia behind permanent construction and land acquisition.
It is noteworthy that as part of the preparations for Simhastha Mahakumbh 2028 in Ujjain, the administration is planning to acquire land for permanent facilities. Some farmers are opposing this acquisition, while saints and sages are supporting this move of the administration, believing that permanent construction will make the Simhastha event grand and safe.
Talking to ‘The Mooknayak’, Dr. Chintamani Malviya said that he stands by the question raised in the assembly and it is not his nature to apologize. He said that he has not received any notice yet and will give a proper reply if he receives it. Malviya, calling himself a member of the party and an MLA, said that the party is a family.
Farmers union also opposed
Rahul Dhoot, the state organization minister of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, while talking to ‘The Mooknayak’, raised objections to the decision of permanent land acquisition in Ujjain. He said that the government should reconsider this decision, because it is not in the interest of farmers. He demanded that permanent acquisition should be cancelled and temporary acquisition should be done and farmers should be given proper compensation and rent as per their land.
The case raises questions about the balance between internal democracy and discipline within the BJP. Issuing a notice on charges of indiscipline to an MLA who raised the issues of farmers shows that the party may try to suppress issues that could affect its image.
