Uttar Pradesh: A case of gang rape of a Dalit girl by two youths of a particular community has come to light in Thana Dhaulana of Hapur district. When the family members as well as the people around came to know about the incident, a large number of people reached Thana Dhaulana, after which there was a huge uproar. People have demanded strict legal action against the accused youths.
According to ABP News , a teenager from Valmiki Mohalla of Dhaulana police station area had gone out of the house to buy some goods from a nearby grocery shop. During this time, two youths of a particular community took her with them on a bike. It is alleged that the youths first made the teenager unconscious by making her smell an intoxicant and then took her behind a school in the town and committed the crime of gang rape.
When the girl regained consciousness and reached her home, she gave all the information to her family, after which the ground slipped from under their feet. As soon as the information of this incident was received, the local people gathered in large numbers and reached the police station Dhaulana and created a ruckus. The family lodged a complaint against the accused youths in the police station and demanded strict action against the accused.
Giving information on this matter, CO Pilkhuwa Anita Chauhan said that late in the evening, the police control room received information that a teenager was raped by two youths. The CO said that the boy and the girl already knew each other, but after the incident, the teenager was medically examined and the police have taken the named accused Nadeem into custody. The other accused youth is being searched for. The police is engaged in further legal action.
