SARIM’s Participation in the World Congress of Political Science, Seoul South Korea 12-16 July, 2025

Congratulations to Furqan Ahmed on Representing SARIM at the IPSA World Congress 2025
We proudly extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Furqan Ahmed, Senior Research Associate at SARIM, for his distinguished participation in the 28th World Congress of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) held in Seoul, South Korea. His active involvement across a series of enriching panels—as Chair, Co-Chair, and Discussant—demonstrated not only his academic depth but also SARIM’s growing presence in global scholarly forums.
A defining highlight of the Congress was Mr. Ahmed’s meaningful exchange with H.E. Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, during which he presented the inaugural issue of the South Asia Journal for Minorities. He engaged with leading scholars and policy experts from around the world on critical issues such as human rights, democracy, migration, and academic publishing, further reinforcing SARIM’s commitment to inclusive and impactful research.
We at SARIM are immensely proud of Mr. Ahmed’s accomplishments, particularly his re-election as Secretary of IPSA’s Research Committee on Human Rights (RC26). This recognition from a respected international body reflects not only his dedication but also the growing trust in SARIM’s vision and scholarly contributions.
Participation in such a prestigious global congress has strengthened SARIM’s profile on the international stage. The relationships established and recognition earned during the event will serve as a strong foundation for future academic collaborations and continued global engagement.
