Minor Dalit girl raped and assaulted in Muzaffarpur, two accused arrested: condition critical

Muzaffarpur, Bihar: A shocking incident has come to light in the district where a 15-year-old minor Dalit girl was raped and brutally attacked in Aurai police station area. Two youths of the same village, Pintu Sharma and Ganesh Kumar Sah, committed this heinous crime and left the victim severely injured and dumped her in a deserted area of Sitamarhi district.
Know the whole matter
According to the victim’s mother, the girl left home at 11 am on July 26 to get her mobile repaired. She went to Pintu Sharma’s shop where she was raped. After this, at 12:30 pm, Pintu and his associate Ganesh took the victim in an Alto car to National Highway 527-C in Sitamarhi. There, after raping her again, they severely injured her and threw her in the bushes.
On the morning of July 27, the family received information that the victim was found unconscious in the bushes in Pupri police station area of Sitamarhi. She had deep injuries on her head and was bleeding from her private parts. She was immediately rushed to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital, but was referred to SKMCH in Muzaffarpur when her condition deteriorated.

The victim is undergoing treatment at SKMCH. According to doctors, 10 stitches have been put on her head and she has not regained consciousness yet. A neurosurgeon is being consulted. The victim’s condition is still critical.
The accused confessed their crime
Pintu Sharma confessed to the crime during police interrogation. He told that the victim had come to his shop to get her mobile repaired, where he and Ganesh together committed the crime. Out of fear when the bleeding increased, both of them threw her in the bushes on the Sitamarhi border. Both the accused have been arrested.
Police action
ASP Eastern Sahriyar Akhtar said that a case of kidnapping was registered in Aurai police station on July 27. The named accused were immediately taken into custody. Due to the victim’s critical condition, her statement could not be taken yet. The police have started strict action against both the accused on charges of rape and assault.
Family pain
The victim’s mother said that after the daughter went missing, they searched for her all night, but could not find any clue. On the morning of July 27, they received information that she was admitted to a hospital in Sitamarhi. The family is unable to recover from this shock and is praying for the daughter’s safety.
Legal action and investigations
The police have registered a case in this case under IPC sections 376 (rape), 307 (attempt to murder) and the POCSO Act. The investigation is also being conducted to find out if other people were involved in the incident. The police have increased patrolling in the area and local people are also being questioned.
