Parola (Dist. Jalgaon) – A 20-year-old Dalit girl from Toli taluka was sexually assaulted by three persons at Kasoda in Erandol taluka. From there he was brought to Parola in the same condition and thrown in the field. She was found unconscious the next day, but died at 10 a.m. while undergoing treatment. This mind numbing incident has created a stir not only in Parola taluka but also in the district. Parola police have arrested two suspects from Toli village in this case. Police are searching for another young man and his accomplice.
According to the information received from these reprehensible police sources, A 20-year-old girl from Parola was studying in the first year of science at Rani Laxmibai College in Parola. She had come to her uncle’s house in Parola on Diwali holiday from November 3. On the 7th, at half past one in the afternoon, she left the house saying that she would go to the medical center. But not coming home until very late, she was searched everywhere. Due to lack of investigation, her uncle reported her missing niece at Parola police station at 8 am on the 8th. On the 8th, at around 5 pm, she was found unconscious near a well in Lalbaug’s garden at Zulumpura. This time they saw this girl while some boys were playing cricket in this place. They immediately rushed her to Parola Cottage Hospital on a motorcycle for treatment.
After first aid, she was shifted to Bhausaheb Hiray Hospital in Dhule for further treatment. She was treated for three days. She struggled with death but lost her life at 4 am on the 10th.
Meanwhile, while taking the girl to Dhule for treatment on the 8th, she came clean near Phagne village. When asked about what happened, she said that Shivanandan Pawar, an acquaintance, gave me drugs and Pappu Ashok Patil, Ashok Walji Patil (all, resident gang) forcibly took me from Parola to Kasoda in a vehicle. He raped me all night long by giving me narcotics and forcibly poisoned me so that I would not be able to read. The victim narrated the incident to mother Sushilabai and uncle and sister. Meanwhile, she died at 4 am on the 10th after being admitted to the hospital in Dhule. A case has been registered against the three youths and a woman who was accompanying them on a complaint lodged at the Parola police station on the information given by the deceased’s uncle Suresh Patode before his niece’s death.
Shivanandan Shalik Pawar, who is accused of raping a young woman, tried to commit suicide by taking poison for fear of being arrested. He has survived due to immediate treatment. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhule. A police guard has been deployed at the hospital to take him into custody. He will be taken into custody after being discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, another person has already been taken into custody and is being questioned.
Shivanandan and Ashok Walji Patal are the two suspects in the custody of the police. A police team has been dispatched to search for the third young Pappu and his accomplice, said Inspector Liladhar Kanade.
