Bullion merchant accused of raping Dalit teenager

A Scheduled Caste teenager hailing from a locality in the city has lodged a complaint against Subhash Bazar’s bullion for raping and threatening to make video clips. The police has just started investigating the matter by filing a report of molestation. On Tuesday, the victim pleaded for justice from the high officials and demanded action against the accused.
The victim’s mother said that she used to work as a stove in the house of Sarafa, a resident of Subhash Bazar. When sick, he started sending his minor daughter to Sarafa’s home. For two years, the daughter continued to work in Sarafa’s house, which Sarafa took advantage of illegally and raped her daughter several times during this period and intimidated her by making pornographic video clips. One day when the daughter told her the whole truth, she was speechless. The victim’s mother alleges that for several months, she has been circulating the two policemen against the accused, but no action has been taken so far.
On Tuesday, the victim’s teenager accompanied her mother to SP. Where he has given SP to Tahrir and filed an FIR against the accused and demanded action. SP NK Singh has directed Kotwal to investigate and take action. Kotwal Vikramajit Singh says that a report of molestation has been registered against the accused Sarafa. There are also old controversies behind this incident. Police are investigating the matter, action will be taken after that.
