Inter-caste marriage is a curse.
Inter-caste marriage is a curse for a young woman who falls in love and gets married. It is a crime to fall in love and get married. Kodal, who was pregnant, was not allowed to enter the house for the sole reason that he was not of their caste.

Discrimination in society in the name of castes and religions continues even today in the development of science and technology. Adults with caste matter still do not accept love marriages. Women are always harassed because of inter-caste marriages somewhere. Men who do not care about caste when in love, are harassing those who are tied up with the involvement of their family members after marriage. A situation where similar incidents are becoming routine now appears.

It does not matter what caste or religion you love. There are many incidents of people who are indifferent even at the time of marriage and harassing the house built in the name of caste after marriage. Recently, an incident took place in Kottapeta Panchayat Tailors Colony, Vetapalam Mandal, Prakasam District, where a son was allegedly intermarried and behaved in an abusive manner towards Kodali. The incident took place when the ax, which had come home with a twenty-three day old toddler, was ruthlessly let out of the house.

In 2012, Prema married Gunti Deepu, son of Gunti Srinivas and Adilakshmi of Tailors Colony, Roja Kottapeta village, Inkollu. Deepu’s parents could not accept her as they were both inter-caste married. She was repeatedly mentally tortured that her caste was low. She feels that her in-laws have been harassing her ever since she got married. Roza’s in-laws, who had hoped they would change in a few days, lodged a complaint at the police station a year ago about how unchanged they were.

She did not get justice even though she resorted to the police. The victim, Roza Labodibomanto, said the police were also ignoring the case as her in-laws had links with local politicians. Roja says she came home once even when she was eight months pregnant and complained to the police that she was not allowed into the house even then. According to local leaders, the police are also keeping silent. Roza appealed to the police to still understand and solve his problem.

As her in-laws did not come home and went to the police station, justice could not be served. Roza is also demanding that her husband be summoned and that justice be done to her. The way Roza is worried in front of her parents-in-law with her 23-day-old baby is touching everyone’s mind. There is a local debate that it is bad to behave so cruelly towards an ax just because of caste.
