Rape with a woman on the pretext of getting work, then selling the victim as a widowed daughter for 2 lakhs

Bharatpur. Bharatpur Police has arrested an accused of rape. The accused had implicated a Dalit woman on the pretext of getting her work. Later raped her. He then sold the victim for Rs 2 lakh, posing as his own widowed daughter. The victim and her family had lodged a case in this regard about five months back. But the accused kept running away from the police. Now the police have caught him. The arrested accused is being interrogated.
According to the police, the matter is related to the Mathura Gate police station area of Bharatpur. The victim was going to her maternal home due to a quarrel with her husband. During this time he found Mahesh Sharma, a resident of Govardhan in Deeg town. Mahesh took him to Bharatpur in his kinship in the name of getting him work. There he carried out the incident of rape with the woman.
The accused had sold the victim to Dandagaon, a few months later, the accused sold the woman to a person resident of Dandagaon in Karauli, posing as his widowed daughter, for Rs 2 lakh. The victim stayed there for about 8 months. After that, when the family members of the woman got information about this, they reached Karauli village. They came to know there that the woman was sold by a person named Mahesh for Rs 2 lakh. After this the family filed a case against him.
The police is busy investigating the whole matter thoroughly, after the registration of the case, the police searched for the accused but he kept giving him a miss. Now accused Mahesh has been arrested under the direction of CO City Satish Verma. CO City Satish Verma told that the accused is being interrogated. There have been many cases of horse-trading of women in Churu. Especially in Churu district of Shekhawati, more such cases have come to the fore. Taking quick action in these cases, the police have taken the victims to their homes.
