Tribal father forced to take son’s body home on motorcycle, collector ordered investigation

Following media reports of a tribal man from Maharashtra’s Palghar district being forced to take his six-year-old son’s body home on a motorcycle, the District Collector has ordered a probe into the matter.
The body of Ajay Pardhi of Palghar had to be taken home by his father on a motorcycle as private ambulance drivers demanded more money. The incident is of January 25.
Palghar Collector Manik Gursal has said that action will be taken against whoever is guilty in this case.
Dr Ramdas Marad, who treated Ajay Pardhi at Jawahar Rural Hospital, says, “We do not have an ambulance to take the body, but still, we are trying to arrange an ambulance to take the body of his son. were were. Fearing the post-mortem procedure on his son’s body, he left the hospital early.”
Private ambulance operators charge a hefty amount for transporting the bodies of patients and victims to the tribal areas of Palghar.

Ajay Pardhi, 6, was taken to a hospital in Trimbakeshwar, Palghar, last Monday due to high fever.
From there the doctors referred him to the government hospital. Ajay’s family took him to Jawahar Rural Hospital when he did not get adequate treatment even at Mokhda Government Hospital. His health deteriorated during treatment in the hospital, and he died on 25 January.
Ajay’s father tried to arrange for an ambulance to take his body to his home 40 km away, but he did not have the necessary money for it. He was forced to take his son’s body home on his motorcycle.
