Rajasthan: Gang raped a Dalit woman and shaved her! dead body found buried in stones
Rajasthan. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Reni area of Alwar district. After allegedly gang-raping a Dalit woman in a village here, her head was shaved off. It is alleged that the woman’s ears, nose and hands were chopped off. The face was burnt with acid, and the woman was murdered by breaking her arms and legs.
According to family members, the woman had left home for some work, but did not return home. When the woman did not return home, her 13-year-old son informed the matter to his father, a laborer in Gurgaon. The father came home and looked for his wife, but she could not be found.
On June 2, the husband lodged a missing complaint with the Reni police station regarding the matter. On the morning of June 4, when a girl from the village went to the nearby ruins for defecation, she got a strong foul smell. When the girl went near and saw her, she was shocked to see the rotten body. The matter was informed to the family members. When the husband of the missing woman reached the spot after getting information about the rotten body lying in the ruins near the village, the ground slipped under his feet.
Police reached the spot and took the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem. On the basis of her husband’s complaint, the police have registered a case under the sections of kidnapping and rape. Regarding the whole matter, SP Alwar Tejaswini Gautam says that rape has not been confirmed in the post-mortem. Prima facie it looks like an accident. Often stones are dropped in the ruins, due to which he must have died. However the viscera has been sent to the FSL. After the report comes, the whole matter will be known.
What is the whole matter?
Meena Devi (30) of Dalit community lived in Danupur village of Reni area in Alwar district of Rajasthan. Meena Devi’s husband Omprakash Bairwa (38) works as a laborer in Gurgaon. Meena Devi lived at home with her three children Pritam (8), Rohtas (11) and Nishant (13). According to Omprakash of Meena Devi, Meena Devi left the house on May 31 in the afternoon and did not return home. His eldest son Nishant called and informed about this. Omprakash reached the village on 1st June. Omprakash says, “I tried hard to find my wife. He also went to many places around the village by bicycle and also asked people but there was no information about the wife. Due to non-availability of wife, I had lodged a missing report at Reni police station on June 2.
Giving information about the case, Meera’s husband Omprakash further says, “On the morning of June 4, a girl from the village had gone to defecate in a ruin next to the temple, located about 350 meters away from the house. Due to the strong smell, when the girl went near and saw her, she got scared. He came home and told all the information to the family members. I came to know about this from Lalu Ram’s wife.”
Accused of shaving and cutting nose, ears, mouth and hands after gangrape
Seeing the condition of Meena’s body, Meena’s husband says, “When I went to the ruins, my wife’s body was buried under a stone bar. His clothes were in disarray. At some distance from the dead body, his hair was falling apart. The skull had become skeletal. The nose and ears were cut off. The face looked as if it had been burnt with acid. Both arms were missing from the body and both legs were broken, and the entire area near the lower leg was stained with blood.
Police sent the body for postmortem
On 4 June, on receiving information about the body being found in the ruins, the police reached the spot along with the forensic team. After videography/photography of the incident site and sample collection, the body was sent for post-mortem.
Regarding the whole matter, SP Alwar Tejaswini Gautam said, “It is getting so hot that the body gets decomposed in five days. The post-mortem report has not yet confirmed gang rape. The sample has been sent to FSL, the cause of death will be known only after the report comes.”
