MP News: Limits of vandalism crossed in Guna, tribal woman burnt alive in land dispute, 80 percent scorched victim

Some people tried to burn alive a tribal woman in Dhanoria village of Bamori police station area of Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. It is being told that the accused put diesel on the woman working on the farm and set her on fire, due to which the woman got 70 to 80 percent burns. At present, the woman has been referred to Bhopal in a serious condition.

It is being told that due to the land dispute, an attempt has been made to burn the tribal woman alive. The victim’s husband Arjun has told that the alleged accused Hanumat, Pratap and Shyam Kirar of the village are pressurizing them to take possession of their land. On Saturday evening, it was found that the accused was plowing the land, on getting information, the woman reached Rampyari’s farm and after that the accused tried to burn her alive by pouring diesel on the woman. When the victim’s husband Arjun reached the farm, the accused Hanumat, Pratap and Shyam Kirar and the wives of the three were running away from the tractor. The victim woman has got about 80% burns, first she was admitted to the district hospital but due to her serious condition, she has been referred to Bhopal.
Regarding the matter, Guna SP Pankaj Srivastava says that on the complaint of Arjun Sahariya, husband of the victim woman, a case has been registered against three accused, out of which 2 people have been arrested.
