Case registered in Colonelganj area of Gonda district of UP
Lucknow . In UP’s Gonda district, a sensational case has come to light of a Dalit teenager masquerading as a thief, turning his head, mutilating his face and burning him with a beedi below his neck. In the case, on Monday, a case has been registered against other unknown persons while naming three accused.
According to the police, a Dalit man, resident of Rajpur village of Colonelganj police station area, told in the FIR that his 14-year-old son had left the house for jogging in the morning on August 7, 2022, towards Chauri. During this it started raining heavily. To avoid the rain, Kishore stayed in a house next to a temple on the side of the road from Chauri to Gaddaupur. Some boys present in the house accusing the teenager of theft, beat him up, abused him, threatened to kill him. He distorted his appearance by shaving off a part of his head.
According to sources, the accused also fired the juvenile with a beedi below his throat. On receiving information, the family reached the spot and threatened to call the police, after which the accused released the juvenile.
On the complaint of the victim’s father, a case has been registered against unknown youths, naming three people named Ranjit, Shyamjeet and Goldie. Inspector-in-charge Sudhir Kumar Singh said that on the basis of the complaint received in the case, advance legal action is being taken by registering a case under relevant sections.
