In a private school in Surana village of Jalore district of Rajasthan, the case of Dalit student Indra’s death after being beaten up by a teacher for drinking water from a pot was not yet settled that another case of untouchability has come to the fore in Surana village. Now there are allegations of humiliating a Dalit man who went to the shop of a person belonging to upper castes to take him down from the shop in front of his wife and children. Surana’s victim Krishnakumar Bagri has filed a case against Ganesh Singh’s son Bhalsingh Rajput in Sayla police station regarding this incident. The incident is reported to have happened on 17 August 2022.
This is the allegation-
Krishna Kumar (35) son Narsingaram Bagri, who reached Sayla police station in Jalore, told in a Tahrir on 18 August 2022 that, on August 17, 2022, around 3.30 pm, Indra Singh son Mangal Singh in Surana village with the applicant wife Leela Devi and children. Went to get goods at Rajput’s grocery shop. The applicant reached the shop by climbing the stairs along with his wife and children. Ganesh son Bhalsingh Rajput resident Surana, standing under the stairs, insulted the applicant with casteist words and said, ‘How did you go to the shop being a low caste. If I don’t get down, I will not leave without killing my life.’ Then out of fear, the applicant got down from the shop with the family and went home.

Victim Krishna Kumar Bagri has also mentioned the injustice done to him 8 months ago in the same report. Even at that time the accused Ganesh Singh did not allow the 14-year-old dead son of Krishnakumar Bagri to be cremated in the village. The applicant told in the report that, 8 months ago, 14-year-old son Mahendra Kumar had died. Even at that time the accused Ganesh Singh had not allowed the applicant’s son to be cremated in the village. The accused had said that I am the head of the village. I will not allow a low caste person to perform cremation in the village. Then the applicant took the son’s body to the nearby Tiloda village and performed the last rites. Krishna Kumar Bagri said that the accused keeps harassing her by doing caste discrimination. On this, the Sayla police station has registered a case against the accused Ganesh Singh Rajput under Section 506 and SC/ST Act and handed over the investigation to Deputy Superintendent of Police, SC, ST Himmat Singh Charan.
Now getting threats, escape with family!
Krishnakumar Bagri lodged a case against Ganesh Singh, a resident of Surana, at the Sayla police station for abusing him with casteist words, and now his life has come to an end. The victim is getting constant threats. In this regard, the victim has released a video and informed about the family migrating from Surana to another. Krishna Bagri told through the video that some people had come in a red colored car on Saturday night. They have gone by threatening to kill because of filing a case. Fearing for his life, he is leaving the village with his family.
On this whole incident, The Mooknayak tried to talk to the Investigating Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police, SC / ST Cell Jalore Himmatsinh Charan, but the investigating officer refused to talk saying that he was busy with the investigation of any case.
