Madhya Pradesh. In a village in Chhatarpur district of MP, a gate has been installed on the main road of the village to stop Dalits and tribals. They are prohibited from taking this route. To stop them from going through that route, casteist people have installed a big iron gate at the main gate of the village. The pictures released after 76 years of the country’s independence have completely exposed the discrimination being faced by Dalits. Since there is a gate on the main road of the village, people have to go around the village. Due to the gate, ambulance is not able to enter the village. Other paths are narrower. The tribal and Dalit people of the village have to face problems. No action has been taken in this matter even after complaining several times. However, the SDM has assured to remove the gate.

Sisolar village of Chhatarpur district of MP is 120 kilometers from the headquarters, adjacent to the UP border. The population of this village is around 1500, in which most of the people belong to Dalit community. The community has been banned from even passing through Sisolar village, their only fault being that they come from the Dalit community (Scheduled Caste). According to the villagers, some influential people have installed big gates on the government road. The road has been completely closed to prevent a person from the Dalit community from passing through that route. The situation is that whether the mother is a pregnant woman, elderly, sick or there is some urgent incident, this path is not opened. Even if it means risking the life of the other person.

Rajendra Ahirwar, a resident of the village, told The Mooknayak , “His uncle had suffered a heart attack on February 2. He had also hired a private vehicle to take his uncle to the hospital, but due to the gate on the way, he could not take his uncle.” He could not reach the hospital on time and died. The distance from the house where the vehicle was parked was 500 meters, but the vehicle could not reach because the gate was closed.
Rajbai Ahirwar, a resident of the village, suffered labor pain on the morning of 2 November. The family members called Janani Express, but here too the woman could not reach the hospital due to the gate being closed and the delivery was done on the village road itself. However, both are healthy now.
Let us tell you that there are mainly two ways to reach inside the village. There are big iron gates installed on both these common roads. The casteist people who have installed these gates. Dalits allege that they are facing a lot of trouble due to the presence of gates. He has complained about this several times, but no action has been taken. Casteist people open and close the gates as per their convenience.
In this matter, Lavkushnagar SDM Devendra Chaudhary told The Mooknayak , “A gate has been installed in the village. But there has been no complaint that Dalits are not being allowed to pass through the road. Gates are already installed in the village. “If the villagers are complaining then this gate will be removed.”
