The hair-raising video from Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur is viral on social media. The incident is being strongly condemned on all social media platforms. In this video, a man wearing a blood-stained shirt is holding a girl by her hair and making her run on the road. A sharp weapon was also present in the other hand of the person. After the video of this incident went viral, the police swung into action and registered a case and arrested the accused.

This incident is of Gudhiyari police station area in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This sensational viral video is of Saturday i.e. 18 February 2023 night. According to the victim’s brother, Omkar Tiwari (47) runs the Masala Centre. His sister used to work at the same center. Tiwari wanted to marry his sister. He had asked my mother for the same. After which, on the advice of my mother, my sister refused to work at her shop and also stopped going.

The victim’s brother further said, “Even after my sister refused Omkar Tiwari for work, he used to call her repeatedly for work. This happened on February 18 as well but she did not turn up. When she got out for some work When she passed by his shop, he stopped her and started threatening her. When my sister protested, he hit her on the head with a chapada. After that, she took her hair and paraded her around the market. When I came to know about this So my mother and I took her to the hospital for treatment.”

Man wanted to marry a minor girl

Raipur police said, Omkar Tiwari, the owner of Masala Centre, had proposed the victim’s mother to marry his daughter. The family had disapproved of their relationship. Furious with this, Omkar Tiwari made a plan to kill the girl. On 18 February i.e. Saturday, Omkar Tiwari attacked the girl in the throat with a knife-like iron chap. This caused serious injuries to the girl’s neck and hand. After this the accused fled from there.

In this case, Raipur West ASP Devcharan Patel said, on the complaint of the victim’s brother, a crime was registered against Omkar Tiwari at Gudhiyari police station. Omkar Tiwari has been arrested by raiding the possible hideouts of accused Omkar Tiwari.
