In Punjab’s Sangrur district, six people brutally thrashed a man with iron pipe-like weapons. Seeing this beating viral on social media, people got goosebumps. In this beating, both the legs and hands of the person were broken. The injured person is undergoing treatment at the hospital. After the video went viral, the police have registered a case against 6 accused including a woman. An accused has been arrested there.

Sonu Kumar lives in Jagatpura township in Sunam area of Sangrur district of Punjab. According to the information, the accused surrounded Sonu on the road in the past due to some old enmity and beat him so mercilessly that both his legs and both arms were broken. There were serious injuries in other parts of his body as well.

In a one minute 26 second video related to the incident, a man is seen holding Sonu who fell on the ground. Two other people are hitting his hands and feet with iron pipes. Sonu Kumar kept pleading with him to release him, but the accused did not feel any pity. At the end of the video, a man even slaps Sonu on his face.

Due to serious injuries, Sonu Kumar was admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Bathinda. There his condition remains critical. The name of a woman is also among the attackers.
In this case, the police registered a case against Mani Singh, Kuldeep Singh alias Bari, Lavi Singh, Gopal Singh, Amrik Singh and Malkit Kaur under several serious sections including intention-e-murder. One accused has been arrested.

In this case Inspector in-charge of Sunam police station Ajay Kumar said – “This entire incident happened a few days back and in this regard a case has been registered against the accused under several serious sections including intention-to-murder. One of the accused has been arrested. One has been arrested while the search is on for others.”
