On this significant occasion of the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, the South Asia Research Institute for Minorities extends its heartfelt condolences and solidarity to all those who have suffered the unimaginable pain and trauma of torture. Today, we come together to commemorate and honor the victims, raising our collective voice against the abhorrent practice of torture.
Torture is a grave violation of human rights and a blight on our society. It leaves lasting physical, emotional, and psychological scars on its victims, undermining their dignity and sense of security. As an institute committed to promoting justice, equality and the protection of minority rights, we stand united in our efforts to combat torture and ensure accountability for the perpetrators.
