2 arrested for killing man in Narayanganj

Two people were arrested in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Narayanganj’s Rupganj upazila yesterday.
The arrestees are Md Arman, 35, and Setul, 29. They are residents of Chhatirchar village of Kishoreganj’s Nikli upazila.
A team of Rapid Action Battalion-11 conducted a drive in Ashrafabad Road area of Madbar Bazar under Kamrangirchar Police Station of Dhaka yesterday and arrested them, Rab said in a press release today.
The arrestees were handed over to Rupganj police for further action, added the release.
According to the primary investigation, the two accused called Sumon, a mason, on the night of September 19 and took him behind a factory. They stabbed Sumon indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
A case was filed against unidentified people at Rupganj Police Station following a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother Nargis Begum.
